How easy is it to find employment in Germany for international students?
We have many international MBA graduates who started working and have built successful careers in Germany after the MBA. Job opportunities depend on the graduates’ profile, career goals and German language skills. Since learning German is an important aspect of overall success after graduating, we offer German language training free of charge and it is included as part of the curriculum.
What are some of the necessary steps to take when considering a career change? (i.e. consulting)
In order to change your career path after the MBA programme, it is important to identify your relevant skills and experience. It is essential to link professional experience and functional expertise to the requirements of the targeted career path in one of the consulting areas. Since consulting positions are client facing, the cultural understanding and language skills play an important role. It also helps to start networking before the MBA programme by attending conferences and events related to one’s area of interest. It is a matter of how students present their profiles and unique selling point to the companies. Our MBA offers many opportunities to identify and develop one’s personality and skills, which help students to develop a strategy of how to best approach their potential future employers.
Are there any alumni success stories interested candidates can read about?
Yes - we have many successful alumni who either developed their careers in their area of expertise or made career changes to completely different areas. Our alumni share their stories of their MBA journey at events held on campus, such as the My German Success panel discussion or write about it in our blog.
