Frankfurt School alumnus Sebastian Merkhoffer has founded several companies himself and led them to great success. In a talk, he talked about his experiences with Fitvia – his first company, for which he moved back to his parents' house in order to save costs. Fitvia offers exclusive herbal and fruit tea blends, among other products. Via clever collaboration with influencers on Instagram, which was still in its infancy at the time, Sebastian Merkhoffer quickly gained enormous visibility and rapid growth. He appealed to founders to always reflect on what is the right path for them and to set the appropriate course.
Ram Shoham, Director of the Entrepreneurship Centre at Frankfurt School, had developed and implemented the Accelerator Programme. He emphasised that entrepreneurs and young founders are competitors – for example for investments – but should support each other, especially at Frankfurt School. Angelika Werner, Vice President Strategic Relations, also referred to Frankfurt School as a community in which students and alumni, professors and all employees support each other in word and deed.
