7th Frankfurt Metaethics Conference - FrankMeta.7

20 & 21 June 2025

The Annual Frankfurt Metaethics Conference (FrankMeta) aims to offer a forum for current research in meta ethics, broadly construed, including research on topics in the philosophy of language, the philosophy of mind, metaphysics and epistemology of normativity, as well as papers on the nature of rationality, reasons, and similar topics. The conference will run over two days and provide plenty of time for discussion and exchange.

Call for Papers

Five slots for contributed papers have been scheduled. We welcome papers on any topic falling within the scope of the conference. 

Please submit an extended abstract (max. 1,000 words, prepared for blind review) by 31st of January 2025 to FrankMeta@fs.de

Papers should be suitable for 30-40 minutes’ presentations.

Travel Directions

Using Public Transport
From Frankfurt Airport:
  • Take the S-Bahn train (direction: “Frankfurt Innenstadt”) to Konstablerwache station
  • Then take the U5 metro (direction: “Preungesheim”) to Deutsche Nationalbibliothek
  • Cross Adickesallee directly at the traffic lights at the German National Library
  • The Frankfurt School Campus is diagonally opposite the German National Library on the other side of Adickesallee Street
From Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof (Central Station):
  • Take the S-Bahn train (direction: “Frankfurt Innenstadt”) to Konstablerwache station
  • Then take the U5 metro (direction: “Preungesheim”) to Deutsche Nationalbibliothek

From the “Zeil” shopping street in Frankfurt city centre:
  • From Konstablerwache station, take the U5 metro (direction: “Preungesheim”) to Deutsche Nationalbibliothek
  • Cross Adickesallee directly at the traffic lights at the German National Library
  • The Frankfurt School Campus is diagonally opposite the German National Library on the other side of Adickesallee Street
From Frankfurt city centre:
  • From Hauptwache or Willy-Brandt Platz station, take the U1, U2, U3 or U8 metro heading north (direction: Oberursel, Bad Homburg, Riedberg, etc.) to Polizeipräsidium / Miquel-/Adickesallee station
  • Walk east along Adickesallee for about five minutes; the campus is on the left
RMV ticket machines

Local public transport tickets are available from ticket machines, situated at the local railway stations. Remember that you will need to purchase a ticket before boarding the train. By touching the screen, you can set the operating instructions to various languages (English, French, Italian, Spanish and Turkish). Then follow the instructions on the user screen and select the type of ticket required (single adult ticket, day ticket, short hop ticket). The ticket machines accept payment in coins and banknotes and usually also allow for cashless payment.

Travelling by Car

From the South (Airport) or North:
  • Take the A5 to the Nordwestkreuz junction, then take the A66 heading towards Frankfurt
  • Drive to the end of the motorway, then continue to follow the road (now called Miquelallee)
  • Miquelallee joins Adickesallee; the Frankfurt School campus is on the left
  • To turn left, one needs to drive straight forward at the big crossing (traffic light) 
  • Just behind the crossing, it is possible to turn and drive back
  • Then, the Frankfurt School campus is on the right
From the West:
  • Take the A66 heading towards Frankfurt/Miquelallee until you reach the end of the motorway, then continue to follow the road (now called Miquelallee)
  • Miquelallee joins Adickesallee; the Frankfurt School campus is on the left
  • To turn left, one needs to drive straight across the big junction (traffic light)
  • Just behind the crossing, it is possible to turn and drive back
  • Then, Frankfurt School campus is on the right
From the East:
  • Take the A661 until you reach Exit 7 signposted “Frankfurt-Eckenheim’, then head in the direction of Frankfurt-Innenstadt
  • After about 4 km (2.5 miles) turn right into Adickesallee
  • Drive another 150 metres or so; the Frankfurt School campus is on the right after the Adickasallee traffic light / Eckenheimer Landstraße
