Corporate Knights today published its annual Better World MBA Ranking 2023. Frankfurt School's MBA programme is represented in the ranking for the first time this year and is ranked second in Germany and 30th worldwide in its first attempt.
A total of 209 business schools from 13 different countries were evaluated. The selection was based on the global top 100 MBA programmes of the Financial Times, the Princeton Review Best Green MBA list, the Corporate Knights Better World Top 40 Ranking 2022 as well as business schools accredited by the Association of MBAs, AACSB or EQUIS. In addition, all listed universities are signatories to the United Nations Principles for Responsible Management Education.
The focus of this year's methodology was on the proportion of courses that integrate relevant sustainable development topics into their programmes — from ESG issues to biodiversity and carbon pricing. Frankfurt School achieved top marks in this category in particular. An additional criterion (weighted at 10%) assesses the proportion of graduates who work in non-profit organisations or companies that generate the majority of their revenue from sustainable activities.
