Every year, the Kommunale Ausländerinnen- und Ausländervertretung Frankfurt am Main (KAV, Foreigners’ Advisory Board to the City of Frankfurt am Main) honors outstanding personalities with a history of migration. The aim is to recognise and highlight the lives and achievements of these men and women. The aim of the KAV is to show how many migrants in science, education and business make a valuable and sustainable contribution to Frankfurt am Main, its economy and society. At the same time, children and young people as well as their parents can perceive the honorees as role models as they learn about their lives and achievements.
