Frankfurt School has gained a special funder for its Diversity Scholarship programme: Andy Hamer, Managing Partner of Hudson Square Investment Management, was himself Frankfurt School’s first scholarship holder during his Bachelor’s degree. He is funding the scholarship to promote female managers in the financial sector. The scholarship was awarded to a Frankfurt School student who combines outstanding academic performance with leadership potential as well as international experience and ambition: Julia Schönthaler started her Master's degree in Applied Data Science in September.
Andy Hamer wants to strengthen diversity in business and encourage young women to aspire to leadership positions. This reflects both his personal commitment and Hudson Square Investment Management's mission to promote women and equal opportunities. The New York-based investment company focuses on long-term growth trends in equity markets.
“It is important to me to support the next generation of female managers in business and finance. Education is a key driver of change. I am proud to contribute to the development of committed young women who will shape the future of the economy with a scholarship at one of the best business schools.”

“We are very grateful to Andy Hamer for his commitment. The fact that a former scholarship holder is now sponsoring a scholarship himself, many years after studying with us, is a great testament to the strength of the Frankfurt School community. I hope that many more scholarship holders will follow his example.”
Carsten Vogel, Development Director der Frankfurt School of Finance & Management
"The Hamer Diversity Scholarship allows me to fully immerse myself in the field of Applied Data Science, a subject I am truly passionate about. The program is incredibly fulfilling, offering a perfect blend of theory and hands-on learning. I am proud to be a student at Frankfurt School and would like to express my gratitude to Andy Hamer."
