Frankfurt am Main, 23.09.2024 12:00:00

172 new students from 43 countries across the world started their studies in Frankfurt School's MBA programmes – welcome! 36 new students started the Full-time MBA, 44 students opted for the Part-time MBA, 52 began their studies in the Executive MBA (EMBA) and 40 started the MBA in International Healthcare Management.

Professor Ansgar Richter, Dean of Faculty, welcomed the new MBA cohort at the traditional Opening Ceremony, which was held on 20 September in the mall of the Frankfurt campus. He emphasised that Frankfurt School is not only the place to acquire knowledge, but also to try out your own ideas and to develop personally and to get involved.

Following the welcome, two Frankfurt School MBA alumni shared their insights and experiences with the new students. O'Brien Kalumba, Director and Business Development Manager CEO Office at Standard Chartered Bank, gave the students tips from her experiences during her EMBA studies at Frankfurt School: “A cornerstone of my experience was the relationships I built. Frankfurt School is a melting pot of cultures, ideas, and expertise. The diverse cohort of peers, inspiring faculty, and engaging alumni are resources that extend far beyond your years of study.”

Adrian Cimander, Senior Director Supplier Relationship Management at BioNTech, also reflected on his personal experiences of his MBA journey at Frankfurt School, the obstacles but also the incomparable experiences and the connections he made during his time at Frankfurt School.

Before the new MBA students closed the evening with a dinner and made their first contacts in the Frankfurt School Community, their sense of rhythm and cooperation were put to the test. During the Drum Conversation, a traditional part of Frankfurt School’s Opening Ceremonies, all new students had a short drum session, experiencing what it means to cooperate in harmony and to feel the community spirit.
