Frankfurt School of Finance & Management will be offering the Master in Real Estate programme from August 2025. The programme is international in scope and comprehensively covers the various facets of real estate management. In addition to the two main topics of financing and investment, this also includes project development, transaction and investment structuring, real estate banking and capital markets, sustainability, digitalisation, AI and ethics. Two major case studies at the end of the programme, in which students apply the knowledge in practice, are truly unique.
The four-semester programme is taught in English. It is primarily aimed at students with a business administration or comparable background and offers a flexible 3-day model that allows students to work alongside their studies.
The real estate industry is undergoing a fundamental transformation and must rethink the development and management of real estate, the structuring of financing, transactions and investment products. Sustainability and digitalisation in particular play a major role and are fundamentally changing the industry. The new Master's in Real Estate provides a comprehensive education to enable students to make responsible and future-proof decisions. The programme's strong practical focus enables students to apply the theoretical knowledge in projects during their studies and to build up an extensive network through collaboration with industry experts. Thanks to Frankfurt School's cooperation with partner universities worldwide, students also have the opportunity to study abroad in order to prepare for an international career.
With the establishment of the Frankfurt School Real Estate Institute (FS REI), Frankfurt School of Finance & Management has opened up to the real estate industry and expanded its research and teaching to include the close links between the real estate industry and the financial and capital markets. The institute was founded in November 2023 and is supported by leading companies in the property and finance sector.
Professor Kerstin Hennig, Head of the FS REI, explains: “The Real Estate Institute expands Frankfurt School's academic programmes by integrating real estate topics into the curriculum and advancing research in this area. Based on interdisciplinary collaboration and global exchange, the new Master in Real Estate takes a solution- and practice-oriented approach at the highest academic level to educate the next generation of real estate experts.”
Professor Nils Stieglitz, President and CEO of Frankfurt School, adds: “Our new Master in Real Estate highlights how finance and management are interconnected in the real estate industry. From financing and investment to project development, sustainability and digitalization; real estate management covers the core topics of our research and teaching and has strong links to our many research centres. This new degree programme is, therefore, a valuable expansion to our academic offerings and further positions Frankfurt School in its role as a collaborator to the real estate industry.”
