Frankfurt am Main, 18.09.2024 12:00:00

The German government's start-up summit took place in Berlin yesterday. Frankfurt School of Finance & Management also joined the commitment to strengthen investment in growth and innovation capital (WIN) and the associated ecosystem: Frankfurt School President Professor Dr Nils Stieglitz signed the declaration of intent together with Germany’s Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Federal Minister of Finance Christian Lindner, Federal Minister of Economics Dr Robert Habeck and other partners from science, business and education.

The agreement on joint measures to strengthen growth and innovation financing as part of the WIN initiative greatly strengthens the framework conditions for high-growth start-ups in Germany and will have a positive impact on the development of start-ups. Frankfurt School is proud to be part of the WIN initiative.

‘As a business school, Frankfurt School is committed to promoting entrepreneurship, start-ups, their growth and financing. With the university's Entrepreneurship Centre and the subsidiary Futury, as a start-up factory for the Rhine-Main region, we are already in a strong position to support students on their entrepreneurial path,’ says Professor Dr Nils Stieglitz.

The President and CEO of Frankfurt School continues: ‘One of Frankfurt School's great strengths lies in the close and successful integration of students, faculty, industry and investors with the start-ups. This ensures that the start-ups have continuous access to capital, talent, expertise and know-how to enable them to compete successfully.’

Entrepreneurship at Frankfurt School

- The Entrepreneurship Centre at the business school offers an accelerator programme for students and alumni who are starting up and brings them together with investors.

- With the acquisition of Futury, the largest ecosystem for start-ups and sustainable entrepreneurship, Frankfurt School has joined the top group of German universities for founders.

- In September, Frankfurt School rented the Bertramshof in the direct neighbourhood of the Frankfurt School campus. It will be a central, spacious location for the start-up community. Innovative and sustainable start-up projects will be developed here, also together with other universities.
